We take pride in being a part of a city that values high level athletics. From baseball to hockey, Rockford has the sports lineup that any city would envy. We hope to add women's basketball to the long list of exciting and successful sports programs out of Rockford.
empower the next generation
We celebrate and recognize the next generation of women's basketball. Not only do we shout out the top performers in our area, but we reward the top 30 seniors with an all-star game on a WNBA court.
inspire new players
We educate the young girls with dreams of going to the next level in basketball. Almost all of the RKFD Lightning players coach at the middle school, high school and even collegiate level. In addition to mentoring through their coaching positions, we plan to bring basketball clinics to young girls ages 7-13.
